Harvard Library

Rethinking the library experience in the digital age of scholarship; focusing on space and a culture of use.

The Harvard Library, which has 31 distinct libraries, is so much more than just volumes of books. They offer tools and resources to students and researchers at all levels who count on them to provide the information they need to succeed. Our goal was to make the library website endlessly helpful by putting the user at the center of everything we do.

My Role

  1. Determine new information architecture, both for the Beta site, and the future state of the site.

  2. Conduct card sorts and treejack tests to test information architecture.

  3. Work through content strategy with our client, where we do a landscape review, discuss audiences, goals, value proposition, validation, key conversions, content and components per page.

  4. Design page layouts with real content.
